Jane Hoyt Crittenden died peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 29, 2015. She is survived by her sister, Susan; her daughter, Hannah; two granddaughters, Meg and Sarra; and two great-grandchildren, Judah William and Lillian Rose. Jane was born on July 22, 1927 to Hazen and Jane Hoyt of Great Neck, Long Island, and was one of three children. A world traveler and talented artist, she graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1949 with a degree in Portrait Painting. After marrying Donald Crittenden, she became a dedicated Army Wife who lived throughout the United States and South East Asia. She later settled in Oakland, and retired first to Mendocino and then to Albuquerque. In her later years she was devoted to her grandchildren and endlessly delighted by her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
