JAMIL "JIM" HASSAN NAJJARAge 83, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012. He is survived by his devoted wife, Samia; daughter, Dina; son, Michael and daughter-in-law Rana; sister, Nadima; and many loved ones. Jim was born in Beit Meri, Lebanon, and immigrated to the United States as a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1945. He owned and managed Happy Jim's Drive-In in South Charleston, West Virginia and served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War. During this time he married his wife, Samia. Jim worked as an aircraft electronic technician for Boeing, Lear Siegler, and Lockheed in both Florida and California. Later, in Albuquerque, he was a self-employed real estate businessman. In his younger years, Jim was an avid pilot and skydiver and volunteered rescue missions with the West Virginia Civil Air Patrol. After retiring, he was proud to volunteer his service for his fellow veterans with the New Mexico Honor Guard. Friends may visit French - Wyoming Chapel on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012, 10:30 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
