Jaime Jo Barron (77), an extraordinary woman, passed away December 26, 2024. Born August 22, 1947, in Clovis, New Mexico, Jaime was destined to leave her mark in this world. Born to parents LaRaine and James Snyder, Jaime is survived by her brothers, Jim and Bill Snyder and preceded in death by her younger sister, Paula and older sister, Sharon. Some of Jaime's greatest joys were doting on her grandkids as they grew (Jonathan and David Mimna and Jordan Rowland).
Other pleasures included spending weekends at their family cabin in Ruidoso, her dad brushing her hair, summers with her grandparents in May, Texas, disco dancing in the 70s, traveling abroad (particularly Italy), camping, fishing in the Brazos River, skiing, family gatherings, and spending time with her daughters, Kimberly Allen (57) and Dawn Allen (60).
In 2001, Jaime and her daughter, Kimberly went into business together, providing residential and healthcare services to people with developmental disabilities. Little did she know at the time that almost 25 years later the company would become a large part of her legacy and provide her with a sense of accomplishment and pride. Jaime was known as "The cool mom." She was also known for her beauty (inside and out), generosity, nurturing manner, enduring affection for her pets, unconditional love for her children and the uncanny ability to "beat the pants off" anyone and everyone in a game of Scrabble.
