James "Jim" Roper

James "Jim" Roper, age 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son, was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, January 6, 2023. He entered this world on November 2, 1943, in Denver, CO, born to Nathaniel and Hazel Roper. He is survived by his wife, Marion Roper; daughter, Cassandra Behrns (John), Irvine, CA; grandson, Austin Roper, Denver, CO; and granddaughter, Anya Behrns. He was predeceased by a son, James Bradford Roper in 2016.

Jim graduated from Colorado State University in 1966 and was commissioned into the US Army, He served his country from 1966 - 1981 with the rank of Major. His service included deployments to Korea, Vietnam, and Germany.
Jim was an avid fly fisher and hunter and loved the outdoors. He loved animals but especially his pet cats and dogs.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Saint Francis Episcopal Church , 2903 Cabezon Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
