James "Jim" Tilwick

James "Jim" Tilwick passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 81. Born on Saturday, September 26, 1942, in Easton, PA. Jim was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Jim was an outgoing and sociable man, always there for his family and friends. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, cherishing the beauty of nature. Jim was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, his enthusiasm for football evident every NFL season.

He proudly served in the US Army, a chapter of his life that shaped his values and character. Jim graduated from Easton High School and Williamsport Area Community College, showcasing his commitment to education. Jim worked at Western Electric in Allentown, PA until his retirement in 2001.

Survived by his loving wife Kate Tilwick of Placitas, NM; son Eric Tilwick and wife, Bernadette of Longs, SC ; daughter, Michelle Clark of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Deonna Fonseca of Pottsville, PA; stepson, Michael R. DeRenzis Jr. and wife, Michele of Bethlehem, PA; stepdaughter, Dawn Placker of Kissimmee, FL; grandson, Garret Tilwick of Allentown, PA; grandson, Justin DeRenzis of Bethlehem, PA; granddaughter, Cassidy Clark of Knoxville, TN; grandson, Kyle Clark of Knoxville, TN; great-grandson, Roman James Tilwick and his beloved dog, Maggie. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Chester Tilwick of Easton, PA.

A Memorial Service to honor Jim's life will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at French Funerals & Cremations, 1275 Unser Boulevard Northeast, Rio Rancho, NM, at 2:00 p.m.

He will be laid to rest in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice in Jim's memory.

Jim's warm presence, kind heart, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
