James Clinton Stringer

James Clinton Stringer, 60 years old and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2016. James was an amazing man and brother. He was brilliant and a literal genius who developed paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 17, which was devastating to our family as he had so much to offer to this world. He struggled so severely for many years until a new medicine was developed that was a miracle for him, even enabling him to earn two college degrees. He was shy and sensitive and had a great sense of humor. Most of all, he was our brother that we loved dearly. We learned so much from him, especially about compassion, and we were so blessed to have him as our brother. It was the most appropriate day for him to go to Heaven... His Independence Day from such a horrible disease. Fly on our Angel Brother Ging, Mimi and Pop are waiting for you.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus R. and Margaret F. Stringer; as well as his infant sister, Priscilla Ann Stringer. James is survived by his sisters, Mary Krueger and husband Dennis of Roseville, CA and Teresa Stringer, Carmel Rippberger and husband Michael, all of Albuquerque; nieces and nephews, Daniel Krueger, Michael Krueger and wife Heather, and Rebecca Bejcek and husband Lewis, and Matthew and Jessica Rippberger. His great nephews and nieces are Jessica, Meagan and Jennifer Krueger, Thomas and Justin Bejcek and Jaidin Whiteaker.
A Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 7, 2016, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 9, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Albuquerque), 2501 San Pedro NE, Suite 212, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
