James "Jim" Morewood

James "Jim" Ian Morewood, age 83, of Albuquerque went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Linda Lou Morewood; parents, John and Frances Morewood; brother, David Dale Morewood; and all of the dogs that he and his wife loved together. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Morewood Anderson, and husband Rick; son, Jeffrey David Morewood; and many special friends.

Jim started out as a farm boy in rural Pennsylvania and worked his way up to being a well-established businessman in Albuquerque. He graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree and obtained a Bachelors of business through UNM. He was an electrical contractor, professional photographer, accomplished pilot and proud Air Force veteran who served during the Korean conflict. Jim cared about everyone he met and helped everyone he knew, but most of all, he was our loving father. Jim will be laid to rest with his wife Linda at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private interment.
