James "Jimmy" McGlaughlin, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side on August 28, 2015. Jimmy was born May 24, 1955 in Compton, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Josie McGlaughlin; and his beloved sister-in-law, Lera McGlaughlin. Jimmy is survived by his brother, Jerry McGlaughlin of Holden, MO; his sister, Carol Martinez and husband Michael; his very special niece, Nikka "Highness", all of Albuquerque and many nieces, nephews, who he loved very much; and many other family members and friends. Jimmy fought a determined battle against Alzheimer's / Dementia and recently pneumonia. He conquered his adversaries and Superman now resides in Heaven. "Honor me not by mourning my death but by celebrating my life." He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The family would like to express a very special thanks to Heartland Hospice, UNM Family Clinic and all who knew and loved Jimmy. Each and every one of you remain in our hearts and we will always be grateful for the love, respect, kindness and dignity each of you gave to Jimmy and our family. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, September 1, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. A Communion Service will be celebrated Wednesday, September 2, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
