James "Jay" Lujan

April 12, 1956 — May 1, 2014

Our beloved James Manuel Lujan ("Jay"), age 58, of Albuquerque, NM went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2014. Jay was born in Santa Fe, NM on April 12, 1956 to Jean Couchman Lujan and Manuel Lujan. Jay is survived by his parents and four siblings: Terra Everett (Jeffrey), Barbara Lujan, Jeff Lujan and Noah Lujan; four nieces: Tiffany Knight (David), Jessica Davis (Jared), Amy Everett, and Christiana Lujan; one grand-niece, Rhiannon Davis; and one grand-nephew, Douglas Davis; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay served his country honarably, retiring after 20 years in the Air National Guard. Jay worked at the Manuel Lujan Agency alongside his extended family and later as a security guard for the Tanoan Country Club and for the residents of Tanoan. Jay loved to play the accordion and the piano. Jay was always the life of the party when the family gathered together. Jay played in a country western band, Sagebrush, and was a member of the praise team at AZUZA, Assembly of God Church for several years. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Friends may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Internment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 following the mass.
