James P. "Dewey" De Luca Sr

James P. De Luca Sr., "Dewey", beloved father, grandfather and friend, went to be with our Lord on September 30, 2015 at the age of 66. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 16, 1948. He served our country in the United States Army. Dewey, a man of his word, was a successful business man for over 40 years. He had a great passion for cars which inspired him to buy, sell and restore over thousands of automobiles. He was caring, loving, hardworking, loyal, compassionate, and intelligent and everyone's problem solver. He had great admiration for Elvis Presley. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester De Luca and mother, Julia Elizabeth. He is survived by his son, James P. De Luca Jr., daughter, Diane M. Freeman and her husband John C. Freeman; grandchildren, Charles G. Montiel Jr., Jacqueline M. Montiel, Dominic J. Diz, Angel R. De Luca and Bella R. De Luca; the mother of his children and life partner, Maria De Luca "Lubi", his siblings, John R. De Luca, Mary L. De Luca and her husband Jim Goodman, and Michael A. De Luca. He also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and touched the life of his mother-in-law, Aurelia Silva. Pallbearers are Jay Sloane, Manny Duran, James P De Luca Jr., John C. Freeman, Charles G. Montiel Jr, and Dominic J. Diz. Friends may visit FRENCH - Wyoming Friday, October 9, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., also at FRENCH - Wyoming followed by a prayer service. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
