James (Jim) L. Davis, 91, passed away December 7th, 2024 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Washington, IN in 1933. After serving four years in the US Navy, he moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1956. He retired from Sandia Labs in 1992 after 35 years. He also worked at Cee Vee Concessions at the State Fair as a bartender and at JC Penney. He was preceded in death by his father, Rupert Davis, mother, Wilma Davis, brother, Paulie Davis, sister, Betty Howard and his wife, Jo Anne Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Davis, son Mike Davis and wife Amy, grandson Josh Davis, and granddaughter, Jordan Davis. Nieces Debi Dodge (Clint), Shelly Barreras (Steve), and Kim George. nephews Jimmy Tudor (Cindy), Rex Howard (Betty), Jeff Howard (Sheila), great niece Tina, his doggy Buddy, and many friends and neighbors. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and all kinds of sports. He coached at Mile High Little League and AYBL. He loved to bowl and golf. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals and the UNM Lobos. He enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada and to Sandia Casino.
