A leader, known to provide a time tested wisdom, he left a lasting mark of knowledge on those he touched. His many nicknames like “Tupy”, “Chief”, and “Boss Hog”, demonstrated the multi-faceted personality of this man of rich character. Born in Elba, Alabama, James E. Langston’s life included touching lives on 3 continents, crossing 3 oceans, and being stationed from the arctic circle to the Pacific Rim, before settling for a comfortable life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To his family and friends, he shall always be remembered as a family man. A man who’s belief in personal sacrifice outweighed his belief in self declaration.
