James J. Joy
February 23, 1931 — August 14, 2022
James J. Joy, a long time East Mountain resident, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
He is survived by his 2 sons, David Joy and Barry Joy; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand daughter.
James retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years of service, with tours in Korea and Vietnam.
May the sun never set on James. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, 9:30 a.m. at Holy Child Parish, 19 Cam de Santo Nino #A, Tijeras, New Mexico, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Internment with full Military Honors will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m.
The family will be hosting a Reception at the family home at 4:00 p.m.
