James W. Gustafson

October 2, 1945 — February 7, 2013

Age 67, a resident of Rio Rancho, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. He is survived by his wife, Terry L Jackson and their beloved Papillon, Hawley; daughter, Jeni Gustafson and fiance Matt, of Iowa City, IA, son, Andy Gustafson and wife Jaime of Rock Island, IL, five grandchildren, two brothers: Skip of WI, David of IL and many other family and friends. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents. Jamie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, very active in the Harley-Davidson community, a H.O.G. Life Member and a member of the Iron Butt Association. Jamie served as a Head Road Captain and Safety Officer for the Turquoise Trail Chapter and a seasonal employee of Thunderbird H-D. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. A Memorial Service will be held at Thunderbird H-D, 5000 Alameda NE on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 8:00 am. Services in IL will be Monday, February 18, 2013, 10:00 am at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL with burial to follow at Greenview Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thunderbird H-D, c/o Karen Henz, 5000 Alameda NE, (for the purchase of a Memorial Rivet at the H-D Museum) or Moose Charities, Mooseheart, IL 60539.
