James Bradley Galloway (affectionately known to family as "Brad", to co-workers as "Jim", to his grandson as "Nampa", and as "Mr. Jim") passed away October 31, 2014 at the age of 64. He was born December 16, 1949 in Albuquerque to William McKinley Galloway and Billie Raye (Lambert) Galloway. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy and later began an extensive career with the Albuquerque Police Department from which he retired in 2003. The majority of his years with APD were spent as a member of the Bomb Squad, which he was passionate about. After retirement from APD, Jim was employed as an Instructor with New Mexico Tech's First Responder Program. He enjoyed teaching, the outdoors, guns, calligraphy, cross-word puzzles, car racing, tending to his roses, and spending time with family. He was an avid story teller and could always find something to talk about with anyone he met. Jim is survived by his wife, Lynette of the family home; son Ian Dennis of Pleasant Hill, MO (wife Jaime and their son Levi); sisters Lynn Huff of Bosque Farms, NM (husband Peter); and Lori Stephenson of La Veta, CO (husband Jeffry); brother Billy Washburn and family of Montana; nieces Jaymie Dunlap of Santa Rosa, NM (husband Ty and their daughter Lacy); Sarah Sly Sanchez of Albuquerque (fiancAC. Chris Edwards and their son Jackson); and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many lifelong friends, co-workers, and friends from around the globe from his worldwide travels. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH - University, 1111 University Place, Albuquerque, NM.
