James William Furey

Age 28, lifelong resident of Albuquerque died September 30, 2014. He is survived by his wife Lauren Furey of Albuquerque; mother and father Bob and Marilyn Furey; sister Bonnie Garcia; mother and father in law Jim and Bernadette Peck; brother and sister in law, Scott and Jamie Stevens; nieces Lily Garcia and Chloe Stevens; nephew Michael Stevens; brother from another mother Carlos Vigil. James was involved in the Albuquerque soccer community for more than 20 years. He was a 2004 graduate of La Cueva High School and devoted employee at the Olive Garden on San Mateo for 10 years. James married the love his life, Lauren, in 2012 after a long courtship. Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 8:00 in the morning at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish at 2621 Vermont Street NE in Albuquerque. Mass will be celebrated immediately following. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6 at 5:00 in the evening at Arroyo Del Oso Soccer Field #1. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at the UNMH Medical ICU. Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Humane Society.
