James C. Fender, age 89, was called to his eternal resting place in Albuquerque, April 20, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Verna Tabet Fender of Albuquerque. Loving father of Daniel Fender of Granite Bay, CA, and Eddy Way of Las Cruces, NM. Loving step-father of Tammy Douglas of Coeur d'Alene, ID. Devoted grandfather of two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. He entered this world on September 30, 1925 in Keystone, OK, born to Alfred Ruby Fender and Katie May Fender. He proudly served as a Pharmacist Mate in the United States Navy during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific from 1943-1946. He was a proud Life Member of VFW Post 401 in Albuquerque, and a loyal member of Masonic Lodge 222 in Roseville, CA. He loved to golf, hunt and fish, and was a devoted San Francisco 49'er fan. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with Rev. Karen Baldwin officiating. Interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
