Lt. Col. (Ret) James "Jim" F. Myers, age 86, of Albuquerque, passed away on January 22, 2015. Jim was born July 2, 1928 in Waycross, GA to Clay Thomas and Martha Etta (Blitch) Myers. He was raised in Waycross where he excelled in tennis in high school and attended Clemson University. He joined the US Army in 1945 and served a full career in Panama, Kansas, Maryland, Texas, Korea, Japan, Italy, North Carolina and retired in Albuquerque, NM in 1971. Jim graduated from the University of Albuquerque with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and being with his family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He married Frances Adam in 1948 in the Panama Canal Zone. Jim is survived by his wife, Frances Myers of Albuquerque; children, Barbara Patt (FiancAC., Jimmy Mock) of Edmond, OK, Carol Billingham of Albuquerque, Linda (Bob) Williams of Albuquerque, and James "Jim" F. (Karen) Myers, Jr. all of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Deborah (Carlos) Lozano and David (Savanah) Patt of Edmond, OK, Ashley Wyatt and Jay (Hannah) Wyatt of Albuquerque and Jeffrey (Tiffany) Wyatt of Gilbert, AZ. Travis, Brian (Michelle) and Kevin Billingham of Albuquerque NM, step-grandchildren, David Vore and Kyle Reisig and Misty (Justin) Willett of Edmond, OK and Bre'Anne (Mark) Williams of Albuquerque, NM, Great grandchildren; Benjamin Hastings, Renlee Patt of Edmond, OK, Jacob, Chase and Cali Wyatt of Gilbert, AZ,, Delaney and Jensen Wyatt, Maximus Cunningham, and Mariah and Nathan Billingham all of Albuquerque. Step great grandchildren, Declin and Aidan Lozano, Jett, Ryker and Gattlin Willett of Edmond, OK, and Brayden and Natalie Williams of Albuquerque, NM. Brothers, Charles and Donald (Helen) Myers; brother-in-law, Don (Donna) Adam; and many other loving family members. James was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Marvin, Earl, Clay, Jr. and Herbert, Elizabeth and Myrtice Myers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard.
