James Charles Richards

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of James Charles Richards of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, a beloved brother, son and friend. James departed this world peacefully on December 1, 2024.

James was born on March 20, 1949, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was the cherished son of Charles Roy and Edith Louisa Richards of Huntsville, AL. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Huntsville High School, Huntsville Alabama. After graduating High School, he dedicated his early years to the United States Marine Corp. He later attended and Graduated from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. After graduation he pursued a career with the Department of Civil Service Affairs in the branch of General Accounting and General administration throughout the United States and Europe.

He retired in Rio Ranch, New Mexico. James enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. He had a kind and generous soul who had a true love for the family's Golden Retrievers.

James is survived by his sister Terri Richards Campbell and brother-in-law Rupert Coleman Campbell Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be remembered for his kind a giving spirit.

As we mourn the loss of James Charles Richards, we also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
