James L. Burgess, age 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away November 15, 2015, in Albuquerque, NM. Jim was a devoted family man, loyal friend and a dedicated teacher of photography and writing. He was an inspiration to many.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita; daughter, Sara and family; son, Justin and family; and sister, Gloria and family. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Deborah Burgess. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015, 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph's on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph's Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. He will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, Animal Rescue of Corrales or an organization of your choice.
