James Alexander Beaudet

December 27, 1925 — September 28, 2014

James Alexander Beaudet, our loving father went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife and the love of his life, Lorna, who preceded him in death in 2004. James and Lorna are survived by their seven children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Daughter, Linda and Larry Evans, her children, Jennifer, Erika, and James Elwell, and great-grandchildren, Kylee and Gavin Elwell; son, James II and Sandra Beaudet, their children, James III and his wife, Jami and son, Zachary; Rachael and Scott Smith, their children, Morgan, Roman, and Kiera Smith; Heather and Cole Magdelana, their children, Abigail and Elijah Maglelana; daughter, Lorna and husband, Paul Morrow; son, Christopher Beaudet and wife, Ivonne and daughter, Danielle; son, Matthew and wife, Shelley Euler Beaudet; son, Andrew and wife, Kathy, their children, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Meghan and Erin; daughter, Margaret and husband, Michael Johnson; and Godson Dennis Wertz. Also, the extended family to include the Montana and Foster families. The family would like to give special thanks to the loving care-givers for their kindness, care and love: Esther, Liz, Sara Gilmore, and son, James II, as well as special friends, Paul Malone and Lorraine Psomas. Our deep thanks to Presbyterian Hospice Center who made our father's passing a caring and loving experience for us all. James A. Beaudet, at 17 years old, joined the United States Marine Corps. where he served in the Third Amphibious Marine Corps. as a Radio Operator in Okinawa. After discharge, he attended the University California, College of Engineering in Berkley, CA and graduated in 1951. He was immediately hired by Sandia National Laboratories as an Electrical Engineer where he worked and traveled the world and never met a stranger in his career of 36 years. Our Daddy is remembered by all that knew, loved, and adored him and he has touched so many hearts with his kind gentle spirit and his never-ending faith in the Lord Jesus. He was also a founding member of The Shrine of Saint Bernadette Church. Daddy your children miss you so much our hearts hurt. You are now with Mom and your hearts are finally one and at peace again and so we raise our glasses in a toast to you, "Here is to your pretty blue eyes". A Prayer Vigil will be Monday, October 13, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations to James' favorite charity, the Albuquerque Rescue Mission, 525 2nd St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. would be appreciated.
