Jalen Michael Taylor

Jalen Michael Taylor passed away suddenly on September 26, 2021, at the tender young age of 20. Jalen was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. Jalen was born on August 14, 2001. He is predeceased by his brother Darius Taylor, his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Bennett, his maternal grandfather Jerry Bennett Jr. and his paternal grandfather Franklin R. Taylor Sr. He is survived by his mother Patricia A. (Bennett) Taylor, his father Franklin R. Taylor Jr., his sister Alexia M. Taylor, paternal grandmother Delois Johnson (Robert), and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jalen was a kind and loving person who's smile could light up any room. He found joy in simple life pleasures including family gatherings, spending time with friends and sports. He excelled at skateboarding, track, basketball, softball, and soccer.

Jalen was educationally gifted and excelled in academics. He was enrolled at the University of New Mexico, School of Engineering, where he was pursuing a degree in Computer Science. When not studying, Jalen spent much of his free time skateboarding, which was his passion.
