Jacqueline E. Simballa

d. January 6, 2017

Jacqueline E. Simballa (Jackie), age 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6th, 2017.

Jackie was born on June 16, 1953, in Paris, France to Steve and Elizabeth (Betty) Silan. Born into a military family, they moved around the world before finally settling down in Albuquerque, NM in 1958, with her parents, sister Rayne and brother, Stephen. She attended Sandia High School and graduated in 1971. While in high school she met her sweetheart and soulmate, Al Simballa. They dated for about a year and then married in February 1972. Jackie was a proud mother of two boys, Tony and Chris. She was a dedicated mother and wife and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved being with her family, friends and traveling. Jackie had an uncanny ability to see the good in almost every person she met and a smile that would light up every room she entered. In December of 2001 she became a mother-in-law to Jolie Sutton-Simballa and in May of 2008 became a first time grandmother to Sara, who became the Apple of Her Eye! Jackie loved her family, including her extended family of friends (she called sisters).

She is survived by her husband, Al; sons, Tony and Chris; sister, Rayne McCrite and her husband, Bart; daughter-in-law, Jolie; granddaughter, Sara; many nephews; nieces; cousins; aunts and uncles too numerous to mention.
