Jacqueline Lee James

Jacqueline "Jackie" James passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Jackie was born in Alton, IL, and came to Albuquerque as a teenager, where she attended Albuquerque High School. She was married to the love of her life, Larry James, for almost 68 years.

Jackie had a beautiful voice and was a member of the harmonizing group Sweet Adelines. After raising three children, Jackie earned her LPN degree and worked as a medical assistant for a number of doctors in Albuquerque. She became an accomplished artist, showing and selling her oil paintings of various landscapes and landmarks in New Mexico. Some of her exhibits appeared at the New Mexico State Fair and in the Capitol building in Santa Fe. Jackie was extremely fond of dogs and contributed to many of the pet charities throughout the country.

She is survived by her husband Larry; three children, Rochelle, Rhonda, and Rick (Angie); two grandchildren, Christy (Leland) and Jason (Ari); sister, Jeanie Gill; and her special fur baby, Mandy.

Per Jackie's request, there will not be any services. The family appreciates the loving support of all the hardworking staff at BeeHive Assisted Living facility.
