HOBBES, JACQUELINE LEE Today we remember the sweetest woman we have ever known, Jackie, 75 who went to Jesus on October 4th, 2014, after a sudden illness. Jackie was a resident of Albuquerque, NM and longtime summer resident at the family cabin in Platoro, CO. She was born in El Dorado Springs, MO and graduated from Raton High School in 1957, where she met her husband and love of her life of 57 years, Robert "Bob" Hobbes, who survives her in Albuquerque. She is also survived by her loving children; Cindy Johnson and husband Sam, and grandchild Jessica Johnson of Fruita, CO and Son; Eddie Hobbes of Rio Rancho, NM. She is also survived by her nephew; David Smith, and Niece; Debbie Lambers. Jackie is preceded in death by her sister Jo A. Smith. Jackie was an accomplished artist with an eye for mountain and southwest scenery. She took pride in her granddaughter, and had a great love and compassion for her doggies, Emma and Ellie. She participated in Woman's bible study groups at Calvary ABQ and enjoyed fellowship potlucks here in Albuquerque and at the cabin. She was devoted to Jesus, her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial reception will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a "Time of Remembrance" beginning at 2:30 p.m.
