Jackie (Wallace) Hall

December 4, 1926 — September 27, 2022

If you're about to go out of the house without your hair styled or shoes shined, or ladies, without your makeup on, stop. Remember Jackie Hall. Jackie would never be seen without lipstick on, and her hair curled. Jackie entered eternal life on Monday, September 27, 2022. As Jackie's family and friends have to move on without her for a while, they will strive to keep her example of humble classiness long after she is gone. They will also be grateful always for her example of her outstanding faith in God and bravery through adversity.

Some of those who loved Jackie were her parents R.E. and Maryann Wallace. She was born at home on 5th Street in Fort Worth, TX, on December 4, 1926, and was raised eating biscuits 3 times a day for her only meals during the height of the Depression. A happy family can make hard times much easier, and Jackie adored her sisters Jane and Betty, and her brother R.E. Jr. Jackie's dad bought and trained horses for a time, and Jackie became a skilled horsewoman. She was unknowingly a fetching advertisement for selling some of her favorite horses as she rode them around her town of Wewoka, OK.

In 1955 Jackie married her dear husband and future favorite travel companion, John T. Hall, in Roswell, NM. He noticed the beautiful brunette receptionist who would pass by his desk to sunbathe on the roof at the Public Service Company. They married in 1955 and had a son and a daughter. Richard Hall (wife Martha) and Shannon Merewether (husband Kim) made the family complete. John and Jackie celebrated their 60th anniversary before John's passing in 2015.

Jackie almost certainly has shared photos with you of her grandchildren: Mark Merewether (wife Lauren), Lauren Schultz (husband John), Megan Burns (husband Ryan), Jamie Hall, and Lexie Hall. She kept pushing through tough episodes of broken bones and harsh physical therapy, and she was able to cuddle five great-grandbabies: Avalyn, Regan, Jaden, Amelia, and Joshua. Jackie's caregivers were a dream team, and Dolores, Gloria, Paulina, Petra, and Silvia became part of the family. Jackie truly enjoyed her 95 years on this earth. Her family was her favorite hobby in life.

As Jackie passes on to paradise, come join family and friends to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 8, at 10:30 at FRENCH-Wyoming. If you wish to donate in Jackie's memory, please send donations to the India Mission at Northeast Church of Christ in Albuquerque, which was close to her heart.
