Jack T. Stewart

Jack T. Stewart, 79, went to be with the Lord June 16, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM with family around him.

He is survived by his son-in-law, Ken L. Miller; his sons, David J. Stewart and wife Carol Beth, Davant T. Stewart and wife DeAnna; his grandchildren, Nathan Miller and wife Hannah, Andrew Miller, Josh Stewart, Matthew Miller, Joy Stewart, Paul Stewart, Jadon Stewart and Peter French Stewart.  Jack is also survived by his former wife, Linda Beth Stewart; his brother-in-law, Jay Gillespie; his siblings, Chester French Stewart and wife Diana, Bob H. Stewart and wife Barbara, Linda S. Butler and husband Pat, and Richard T. Stewart and wife Brenda. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. Jack and Lois French Stewart; his sister, Judy Gillespie; and his precious daughter, Lynn Elizabeth Miller; and many other family and friends.

He attended Wheaton Academy in Wheaton, IL.  Jack served our country in the United States Air Force, and had a successful printing business in El Paso, TX. He had a tremendous love for music, playing piano and organ, performing on many occasions with family and in the community.  At different times in his life he volunteered in public schools teaching music and etiquette, at the El Paso Rescue Mission and with Community Concerts Association of El Paso. Jack loved nature and gained his love for birding from his dad and his love for flowers from his granddad, “Papa” French. He particularly enjoyed trips to Bosque del Apache and to Eagle Creek with his family.

A Celebration of his Life Service will be Tuesday, June 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas, reception to follow.  Private entombment will take place at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Rock at NoonDay, 2400 2nd St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
