Jack Wayne McMains

AOC Jack W. McMains, USN (Ret), age 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Friday, April 29, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alcyon McMains; children, James and Leann, Lane and Keith, and Danial; step-children, Allen, Leslie, Marilyn, and Michael; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy; and brother, Bill McMains. He was born in Wichita, KS in 1936 and after high school entered the United States Navy where he proudly served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. Jack was stationed at Kirtland AFB when he retired after twenty years of honorable service. He was a loving, giving man who loved his family very much. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Springs Fellowship Baptist Church, 10100 Constitution Ave. NE, 87112. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
