Jack Leman Love was born September 9, 1926 in Lovington, NM and died December 5, 2016, in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Leman Love and Mary Graham Love; sister, Mary Loren Love Halford; brothers, Harry C. (Stoney) Henington, Graham Henington and John William Love; his former wife, Elizabeth Love; and by his son, Eric, who died in 1992.
Jack is survived by his wife of 34 years, Muriel McClelland. He is also survived by Muriel's daughter, Gabrielle Mallory (Kevin); daughters, Jacqueline Anne Steffes (Charles) and Katherine Marie Love; son, Carl Neprud Love (Elena); numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all their families; and his good friend, David Kelsey.
Jack served two years in the Navy, from April 10, 1944 to May 26, 1946. He graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1952, and practiced law from 1953 to 2006. He loved the law. At Jack's request, there will not be a memorial service. If anyone so wishes, donations in his honor may be made to Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090.
