Jack Wallace Davidson

Wally passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 4, 2021 with his wife, Mallory; nephew, Jayson; and niece, Savannah Davidson at his side. Wally was preceded in death by his brother, JoeDon Davidson; and parents, Anna Louise and Jack Parramore Davidson.

Remaining family are his wife of 40 years, Mallory Davidson; nieces, Savannah Davidson, Emily Macy, Danielle Davidson Moore and husband, Brannson Moore, and Carlye Rogers and husband, Joey Rogers; great-nephew, Ryker Wallace Moore; sister-in-law, Renee Davidson Rohrer; nephews, Jayson Davidson, Justyn Davidson and wife, Michelle Davidson, and Max Macy; beloved Uncle Fred Broome; and family in Mississippi.

Wally was born in Lubbock, Texas on Sunday, October 20, 1946. He lived in San Francisco and later resided and married in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he owned and operated Davidson Photography. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, majoring in psychology and political Science, and held certifications in photography and digital electronics. Wally had many interests and hobbies including music. At a young age he played guitar and drums, travelling throughout the states performing in the musical "The Fantastics." He formed a band called "The Night Owls," playing throughout Texas along with recording a record. As a young boy, Wally spent many unforgettable nights jamming with his brother and lead guitarist, JoeDon Davidson, Joe Ely, Bobby Keys, and the Atcheson brothers. Later in life Wally continued to play guitar with the Palsce brothers and many friends and musicians in Albuquerque NM. Wally had a passion for photography throughout life, focusing on landscape and architecture and participated in many photo exhibits. Other passions included flying and obtained his solo pilot's license and bicycling throughout California and Albuquerque. Other consuming interests were science, astronomy, space flight/exploration, and politics. Most importantly, Wally had a great love for his family, including the Broome family, Davidson family, and Macy family.
