Isadora Lorenzo

Dora Lorenzo, 90, beloved wife, mother, daughter, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place with our Lord on February 27, 2025.

She was born on May 15, 1934, in Peralta, NM, to Luis and Amilia Gurule. Dora adored and nurtured her husband and their large family of six children. She deeply loved the Lord and, after graduating from Bible school, followed her passion for ministry throughout New Mexico.

Dora was a generous and gifted woman who made everyone feel like they were her favorite. She had many hobbies, including cooking, crocheting, knitting, and creating beautiful floral arrangements. She was also an avid collector of fine art, though she mostly gave her treasured pieces away as gifts to those she loved-because to her, we were all her favorites.

Though we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing she is now pain-free and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

Dora is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John Charles Lorenzo Sr.; her children, Joseph Albillar, Pamela Stephen, Diana Lorenzo, and Johanna Lorenzo, and her daughter-in-law, Margery Albillar. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Lorenzo and son, John Charles Lorenzo Jr.

She leaves behind many cherished grandchildren: Damian Albillar, Alexes Albillar, Jarad Albillar, Anthony Stephen, Sean Sinclair, Amanda Sinclair, Nicole Giron, Kevin Sanchez, and Jessica Durbin. She is also reunited in heaven with her grandson Cody Whitley. Her great-grandchildren include River Sinclair, Sonny Sinclair, Caddalyn Harkins, Joseph Castro, and Evelyn Jade Durbin.

Graveside Service & Burial: Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
