Isabelle Garcia born February 14, 1924, in Madrid, NM; former resident of Galisteo, Stanley, and Santa Fe, NM; and an Albuquerque resident for 67 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed into the loving arms of Our Lord on January 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Garcia; her parents Basilio and Miquelita Anaya; in-laws Francisco and Julianita Garcia; siblings Simona Davis, Fred P. Anaya, Antonio P. Anaya, Celina Anaya, Arturo Anaya, John P. Anaya and Joe M. Anaya. Isabelle is survived by her loving children, Sylvia Burns and husband Norman, Henry Garcia, M.D. and wife Christine, Paul Garcia and wife Helen, Marie Garcia and husband Sam, Gerald Garcia and Teresa Paques, John Garcia and wife Marisol, J.D. Her beautiful grandchildren include Anthony Burns, Melissa Lobato (Aaron), Rosanne Henson, Pharm D, Angela Mudd (Jason, M.D.), Raymond Garcia, Stephen Butz, Jacqueline Garcia (fiancé Adan Sanchez), Gregory Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Marissa Garcia, Aileen Garcia (Ben Rivas), Andrea Sanchez (Mark), Ashley Garcia-Grijalva (Naomi), Joseph Garcia (Brenda), Mikaela Garcia and Gabriela Garcia. Adored great-grandchildren include Morgan "Charlee" Henson, Ava, Tyler, and Isla Mudd, Braydon, Rylan, and Brielle Garcia, Andres and Chewy Rivas, Liliana and Mateo Sanchez, Antonio and Christopher Garcia. Survivors also include siblings: Charlie P. Anaya, Henry P. Anaya, and Mary Lou Salazar (Hank); Brother-in law Julio Garcia (Rosina); Sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Anaya, Eustacia Ulibarri (Filadelphio), Helen Baca and Trinidad Shelton; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caretakers Luly Olivares, Christine Benalli and Germaine Padilla.

Isabelle was an exceptional woman who was an inspiration to her family. She entered the workforce at an early age and achieved great success. Isabelle was appointed and served as president of the State Board of Cosmetology by former governors Cargo, Apodaca and King. She loved traveling and visited Europe and Mexico many times. Isabelle, a devout Catholic, was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and member of Catholic Daughters. She was also very active in the Republican Party.
