SCHNEIDER, ISABEL LUCY (Né�E COOK) Isabel, age 95, went to heaven on Monday, February 24, 2014. Isabel was born to John and Lena Cook and grew up on a farm in Plainview, Minnesota with four brothers, Joe, George, Albert and Louis and sister, Anna. She attended secretarial school after high school, and while living with roommates in St. Paul, she met her future husband, Paul. Isabel and Paul had quite a lengthy courtship due to World War II. After the war, Paul took a position in Los Alamos, New Mexico where Isabel joined him in 1948 and they married. Paul and Isabel traveled the nation, but ended up back in New Mexico, the state they loved, where they raised five children. Isabel had a love of art and was an avid painter. She painted many New Mexico scenes in oil, both in classes and independently. Isabel had a lifetime commitment to her faith in Jesus and she lived her life serving Him. She worked ten years at the Catholic Charismatic Center in Albuquerque, and was active for many years at her church home, Glory Christian Fellowship (Glory Hall). Isabel was preceded in death by Paul, the love of her life. She is survived by her son, John and wife, Kate; her daughter, Marie and husband, Lincoln; her daughter, Michele and husband, Russ; her daughter, Kristi and husband, Russ; her son, Franz and wife, Lois. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Kathleen, Linc, Katie, Emmi, Lauren, Jackie, Scot, Pete, Laura, Jennifer, Reid and Kendall, as well as great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, and Parker. The family wishes to thank Aspen Ridge Lodge and Sombrillo Nursing Home in Los Alamos for their excellent care during Isabel's last years. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd NE.
