Isaac C. "Ike" Martinez

Age 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 2, 2014. He was born on May 27, 1928 in Alamosa, Colorado. He served in Korea and Vietnam, and retired from the Air Force and U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Ninfa, of 57 years; his children, Mark (Lindy) Martinez Diana (David) Kortz, Ken (Kathy) Martinez and Ron (Debra) Martinez; his grandchildren, Dynelle (Jeremy) Rodriguez, Brian (Shelby) Kortz, Eric Martinez, Kristine Martinez and Allan (Kate) Martinez and his great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jake Rodriguez, Kaleigh and Kennedi Kortz and Brody Lambert. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles (Lola) Martinez, Connie Tabeling, Marcella (David) Alires, Loretta Esquibel, Anthony (Betty) Martinez, Bernadette (Steve) McCowan, Dora (Ellis) Braud, Bennie Martinez, Madelyn (George) Anderson, and Reggie (Dianna) Martinez. He also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Allan Martinez, Eric Martinez, Brian Kortz, Jeremy Rodriguez, Robert Griego and Walter Compton. Honorary Pallbearers are Anthony Romero and Dennis Wilson. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 6, 2014, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Road NE. Interment will follow the services, 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
