Ida Virginia Rosson "Jenny" Holpp

Age 97, died peacefully on August 18, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM with her family surrounding her. She was born on a farm outside Guthrie, KY to Phillip Buford and Mary Elizabeth Fuqua Rosson. Jenny received her education at Western Kentucky University and went on to teach home economics at the high school in Elkton, KY. The family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1958 where they remained. She went on to teach fifth grade at San Antonito Elementary until retirement. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Fuqua; sister, Dorothy Sue Humphrey and husband John. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Mason and husband Allen; son, Joe Holpp and wife Silvia; grandchildren, Codie Elizabeth Holpp, Kyle Mason and wife Rachael, Kelsey Holpp, Stephanie Holpp and Katelyn Mason; six great grandchildren, Alyssa Aday, Jolene Cole Holpp, Kayden Holpp, Isaac Holpp Martinez, Eli Holpp Martinez and Lane Mason and a great group of friends. She was "Old Granny" to the grandchildren. Mrs. Holpp was a prolific reader who enjoyed her family, playing bridge and the slot machines. Jenny enjoyed travel to many destinations. Her wishes were to have no formal funeral but to have a simple private burial.
