Age 75, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Ida was born on December 3, 1937 in Lordsburg, NM. She is survived by her husband, Al Gendreau; children, Michael Gendreau of Mesa, AZ, Marie Gendreau of Albuquerque, Jeanne Padilla and Jeanne's husband, Mike Padilla of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Julian and Alexandra Padilla; brothers, James Snyder and Bob Snyder of Houston, TX, and her "meow-meow", Sammy. Ida loved to read, hike, walk, travel, and had an incredible thirst for knowledge. She was a true Christian, living her life for God, family and friends with honor and humility. She set a boundless standard of goodness, devotion and patience, and her gentle kindness taught us the essence of real love. Ida's favorite expression of "Yep, it's another beautiful day" serves as a constant reminder to celebrate and cherish each and every moment. The family would like to extend its sincerest thanks to Curtis and Carmen Hudson of Touched By a White Dove for their special loving care and support of Ida and her family. Services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 417 Palomas SE with a reception immediately following the service.
