Huy Minh Tran

Huy Tran passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico Sunday, June 10, 2018. Huy was born in Vietnam February 29, 2000 during the leap year. He sometimes joked that he was only 4 years old but we did celebrate a birthday each February.

Huy attended Monte Vista Elementary and Albuquerque Academy graduating from Albuquerque Charter Academy. Huy was attending Central New Mexico Community College. Huy earned many honors as a member of the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl placing first. Huy was the New Mexico State Geography Bee champion in seventh grade and participated in the national competition.

Huy is survived by a loving community of friends and his foster parents, Hyekyung and Paul Clark; sisters, Gloria Clark and Kaitlyn Clark and brother, Paul Clark.

There will be a celebration of life for Huy this Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church 3701 Carlisle Blvd N.E. Albuquerque, NM 87110 (505) 884-1801.
