Hugh Gary Hanson

Hugh Gary Hanson, age 76, of Rio Rancho, NM passed away suddenly on September 13, 2018 while vacationing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Hugh was born on January 13, 1942 in Richmond, CA to Hubert L. Hanson and Geneva F. Hanson. Hugh was a wonderful man and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He graduated from Harry Ells High School in Richmond, CA and attended Contra Costa Junior College. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he attended the University of New Mexico and received his B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Halliburton Services for twenty-three years before working for the Department of Energy. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia A. Hanson; son, Warren C. Hanson; grandson, Killian Hanson; brother-in-law, Mike Chrissinger and wife, Jill; father-in-law, T.F. Chrissinger; nieces and nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place and a private Graveside Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
