Howard C. "Clint" Parsley, Jr., age 84, was called home to Jesus his Lord and his God, on April 1, 2025. A native Houstonian, Mr. Parsley lived most of his life in Houston, and he graduated from the University of Houston in 1967. His careers included 10 years at Houston Area YMCAs (athletic director and competitive swim coach at Northwest YMCA), and 28 years with Oshman's Sporting Goods. A transfer with Oshman's took him to Albuquerque, NM in 1993. Clint was a lifelong sports fan, participating in hunting and flounder fishing, running and golf, and especially swimming (even a mile butterfly twice!) He always supported his Texas teams while watching college football and March Madness basketball. In retirement, he enjoyed coaching Upward Bound Christian youth basketball, and Senior Olympics competitive swimming. Clint grew up in the Garden Oaks area of Houston where he attended Baptist Temple Church. He met his wife of 40 years, Barbara, at Second Baptist Church of Houston, and they later were members of Tallowood Baptist Church.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Louise Parsley, and by sister Janet Parsley, and brother Frank Parsley. He is survived by wife Barbara, and brother Lee Parsley. Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
