Howard Murray

Howard Scott Murray passed away on Tue Nov 12 2024, at the age of 66. Scott was born on August 7th, 1958, in Upland California. He was the one out of four children, alongside Tracy, Jenneen, and Kurt, born to Boris Murray and Helen Grove. Scott was also fortunate to have three stepsisters Dianne, Denise, and Joanne. Scott grew up traveling with his father, Boris, racing motorcycles around the world. He would then follow the path of his father and start his own racing career and set a local record at the Albuquerque National Dragway. He had a memorable passion for creating custom paint jobs on hot rods and motorcycles, which even landed him on magazine covers. He found great joy in being with his family. He was a proud father of two sons, Devyn and Brent. Even more, he had a special bond with his dogs, Charlie and Buster. He built a wide network of friendships within the drag racing and baseball communities, as well as through his career in the auto repair industry. Despite his caring and tough demeanor, Scott was known for his sharp sense of humor. He had a quick wit and a knack for finding the funny side of any situation. Scott will be remembered as a loving father, a kind soul, and a source of endless laughter.
