HOMER B. (BEEZY) ADAMS, JR.Age 84, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Carole Lark Adams; children, Wesley Adams Wormhood and husband Wayne of Albuquerque and Craig Eugene Adams and wife Alexis of Dallas; step-children, Shelley Hayley of Parker, CO, Veronique Boyd of Austin, TX and Foy W. Boyd III of Alba, TX; grandchildren, Lauren Bull and husband Brian Alexander, Brooke Bull and wife Perry Cohen, Kristin Bull and fiancé Rob La Porta, Hannah Adams, Alex Adams, Connor Adams, Taylor Hayley, Chris Boyd, Foy Boyd, Trevor Hayley and Carrie Boyd; great-grandchildren Livia Walker, Ian Walker, Miles Alexander, Tobin Bull-Cohen, Neko Bull-Cohen, Liam La Porta and Addison Jade Lee; cousins, Rosemarie Straughan and husband Lee, Jalayne Billingham and husband Paul, and Brad Jenkins and wife Carol; sister-in-law, Cora Adams; and nephews, Michael, David and Scott Adams. Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Adams; mother, Gene T. Means; father, Homer B. Adams, Sr.; brother, Kelly O. Adams; and sister, Flora Gene Adams. Homer was born on July 12, 1928, in Cleburne, TX and grew up in San Antonio. He moved to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico where he graduated and earned his CPA license. Homer married Peggy in 1950 and went to work with his father-in-law, Gideon E. Robertson, at the accounting firm of Robertson, Summers, Adams and Wilbur. The firm merged with Peat Marwick Mitchell where he became Partner-in-Charge of the Albuquerque office. He was transferred to Midland, TX where he retired from Peat Marwick Mitchell. After his first retirement, Homer became the Controller for Clayton Williams Companies until his second retirement in 1990. Homer and Carole married in 1992 and lived in Midland for several years. Homer and Carole returned to Albuquerque in 1995. Homer was a charter member of Four Hills Country Club, a member of Albuquerque Country Club and Midland Country Club. Homer loved spending time at his cabin in the Jemez Mountains with family and friends. He was a wonderful golfer and attained every golfer's dream of shooting not one, but two, holes-in-one. He was also an avid private pilot and spent countless happy hours flying over West Texas and New Mexico. A reception for family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming.
