Hillari Jean Krueger

Hillari Jean (Ballou) Krueger passed away on Friday, May 20th, 2022, at the age of 38. She was born on May 3rd, 1984, in Lawton, OK, to Darcy (Atkinson) Ballou and Travis Ballou. She grew up in the country, Northwest of Lawton in Paradise Valley. She attended Elgin Elementary in Oklahoma until the 5th grade; then, she and her family moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Hillari attended Rio Rancho Schools from 5th grade thru the 12th grade. She married Jason Krueger and together they had a son, Berlin, the greatest joy of their lives!
Hillari worked in banking at Bank of America for seven years. Not being a "number cruncher" she had a passion for laughter and saying the funniest and most inappropriate/appropriate things only she could get away with! Her customers loved her and how she made them feel.

Hillari needed a place to thrive, to be her hilarious self. She opted for cosmetology school; she found her niche in the waxing field. She had a dry, witty and sarcastic sense of humor and clients loved her not just for her personality, but for her kindness and drive too. She worked at a few salons before starting her dream of owning her own business, Pretty Pum Pum. She loved her job, clients, and co-workers; a number of clients became instant friends! Hillari wasn't just a waxer, but a confidant, friend, loyal supporter and champion to the women and men who called on her monthly! She would always greet her clients and friends with enormous hugs and smiles and sometimes a snarky comment between friends!
Hillari's Salon thrived and was in the Top 5 Albuquerque Salons for the past 4 years and won the coveted "The Best of Burque" award in 2021!

Hillari had a couple nicknames:
Doc, used strictly by her mother and Lari to her friends.
Hillari was so excited to become a mother and was an excellent co-parent with Jason to Berlin!

Hillari is survived by her son, Berlin, mother: Darcy Capps & Gilmer, grandmother: Shirley Atkinson, sisters: Lendsie Lovren & Nick, Kelsey Ballou, Brady Dangilan & Bill. Three step-siblings, Girard Capps & Liz, Brielle Capps, and Holden Capps.
Her former husband and forever best friend, Jason Krueger, mother-in-law Lynn Krueger, and sister-in-law, Crystal Irby; nieces and nephews: Sydney, Quinn, Eva, Henry, Bristol, Swayzie, Foster, Peyton, Nora and Silas; uncles and aunts: Dan Atkinson & Elaine, Darryl Atkinson, Diane Hammann & John, Dean Atkinson & Julie, Dirk Atkinson, and Stacy Ballou; Cousins: Danielle, Denise, Doug, Claire, Tate, Sam, Melissa, Michael, Marcus, Roshell, Cassie, Brandon, and Ashley.
Her longtime bestie, Sean Dahlberg; Her spoiled dogs: Panda and Puppy preceding her in death: Grandfather, Willaim J Atkinson, MD; Grandmother, Ruth (Harless) Ballou- Koetter; Uncle, Doug Atkinson; Cousin, Stephanie Ballou.
