POWELL, HENRY L.
Age, 70, a long time resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 03, 2012. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Sandra L. Powell; daughter, Lori Masters and husband Kenneth of Pueblo, CO; sons, Tim Powell of Cape Coral, FL and Matt and wife Mandi Powell of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Courtney Landree, Zach Landree, Karissa Edgar, Tristan Powell, Brittany Powell and Tyler Powell; sister, June and husband Jim Thompson, and brother-in-law, Hugo Torres. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian LeRoy Powell and Velma Marie Powell, and his sister, Dora Torres. Henry faithfully served the Lord for 46 years. He served as Pastor for 40 years in the following church homes; Cielo Vista Park Baptist Church in El Paso, TX, Temple Baptist Church in Las Cruces, NM, and Berean Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Henry was also a missionary to South East Asia with OTAN. He was a man of great integrity. The man you saw in church was the man you would see at home you could say he lived what he preached. If you ask his family they will tell you that he was the best at everything he did. Henry was very family oriented. They were always his biggest priority. Throughout his life he touched so many lives all around the world. Visitation will be held at Berean Baptist Church 3800 Eubank Blvd NE on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 09, 2012, at 10:00 am at Temple Baptist Church 1613 Arizona St NE, 87110 with Pastor Don Weakland and Pastor Fred Gurule officiating.
