Henry Guenther

Henry Guenther, aged 74, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on March 7th, 2025 at his home in Albuquerque, NM.

Henry was born on May 3rd, 1950 in Nashville, TN to Paul and Henrietta Guenther. A graduate of Alton Senior High, class of 1968, Henry went on to study English at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. There, he met his future wife and mother of his children, Jacqueline. After graduating in 1972, he moved to Albuquerque, NM where he worked as a librarian at the University of New Mexico for more than 30 years.

He was a kind and loving sibling to brother Felix and sister Rebecca, father to his three sons, John Ben and Daniel, a strong presence in Jacqueline's life even after their marriage ended, and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
