The world has lost a rare and beautiful soul.
Henry D. Gallegos passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. He joins his wife Louise who left us Tuesday, May 27, 2021. They leave behind the beautiful family they created together. Their four children, Sandra Hewitt and partner Dan Cosper, Debbie King and husband Jerry, Mary Martinez and partner Agapito Silva, and Mark Gallegos. They have a great legacy in their grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren of whom they were so proud.
Henry served in both the Marines and Air Force, joining as soon as he graduated from high school. He worked for the VA Hospital health system for most of his working career. His final career role was as a member of the maintenance teams of two assisted living communities. He gained a large fan base among the residents who appreciated his patience and creative problem-solving skills.
He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed taking us all on outdoor adventures of camping, fishing and boating. The lives he touched with his kind and generous heart are countless. We want to thank the dedicated caregivers from Home Instead and the compassionate team at Hospice de la Luz.
