Henry W. (Fred) Fredenburgh, 93, passed away at home Monday, April 1, 2019. He was born Saturday, January 30, 1926, to Mary W. and Mark N. Fredenburgh, in Orange, New Jersey. Fred is survived by his daughter, Mary C. Fredenburgh and her husband, William Swinney; three grandchildren, Scott Anders, Samantha Moore, Dillon Steelman; seven great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Sharon Rager and Bonnie Craig; step-sons, David Larison (Katherine) and Keith Larison (Brenda). He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. Fred’s life was enriched by many more relatives and friends. Fred was a World War II US Army veteran, having served as a medic in Japan during the occupation. Fred loved classical music, art, literature, history and fine wine. His life-long passion was photography, and he was rarely seen without at least one camera around his neck and his signature large camera bag. A favorite activity of his was exploring the back roads and ghost towns of his beloved New Mexico, often camping with at least one of his dogs. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be in Branchville, New Jersey at a later date to be determined.
