Helga Zetocha, age 73, a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend, passed away June 19, 2015. She was born July 28, 1941 in Mackenbach, Germany to Otto and Gertrude Ecker. She came to the United States in 1959 and traveled the world for the next 20 years as an Air Force spouse living within Europe in Germany and Italy, and within the United States in New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, Nevada, Texas, and California. For the past 35 years Helga lived in Albuquerque. She worked at Marriott In-flite services until her retirement. Helga loved playing Bingo and spending time at the Manzano Mesa Multi-Generational Center. She was also an animal lover and spoiled her precious Tommy the tabby cat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Zetocha. She is survived by her best friend, George Price; her children, Paul Zetocha and wife, Erin, Rhonda Glass and husband, John, Neal Zetocha and wife, Bettina; her grandchildren, Sarah Zetocha, Emily Ayers, Megan Ayers, Alex LaBonte, Brian Zetocha, Jennifer Fritz and Alan Mcbroom; her sister-in-law, Helga Ecker; her nephew, Fred Ecker and wife, Petra and their children, Sasha and Laura. A Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a Rosary following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association New Mexico or Animal Humane New Mexico.
