Helen Zamora

Yesterday morning our Mom, Grandma joined her Marie and Ramon. The Matriarch of our family, one of the absolute strongest women, our rock, our heart. Helen made a huge impact on everyone who met her. Her love was felt by so many. Her grandkids never stepped foot in a daycare, she would not allow it. She cared for all of them. As they got older they got breakfast burritos, their own snack sections and daily hugs and affection. She expressed her love by flipping them off, and was known by all their friends and classmates as Grandma Helen. She adopted most of these friends as her grandkids and loved them like her own.

Helen is preceded in death by her mother Senovia Sedillo, Father Petaccio Zamora, daughter Yolanda Marie Goree, brothers: Arturo, Richard, Bobby; Sisters: Mary, Silva and the Love of her life and partner of 40 years Ramon Andrade.

Helen is survived by; sons: Robert Goree, Jesus Mena (Audra); daughters: Sharon Means (Carl Stewart), Elisha Cooper (Jabulani); sister Rose Madrid; 7 grandchildren: Ramona Goree (Brandon), Julian Goree (Candice), Marc Aikin (Stephanie), Alexis Mena (Isaac Lopez), Alyssa Mena (Richard Medrano), Diego Mena, Monique Means; 13 great-grandchildren: Angel Gonzales, Aiyana Gonzales, Elijah Goree, Jesus Martinez, Jabby Cooper, Isaiah Goree, Amin Cooper, Josiah Fayne, Brooklyn Aikin, Zion Cooper, Jersey Aikin, A'lieah Stewart; and three granddogs: Meeka, Midnight .

Helen was the strongest woman we have ever known. She worked so hard for her family. Her love was so powerful. She devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren.

Helen's Life Celebration will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 4:00pm at French Funerals located at 1111 University, 87102.
