Helen S. Yerden

Helen, Sue to many, was born in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday, October 24, 1943.  She loved life as much as she loved her family.  She enjoyed NASCAR, hosting parties. and camping with friends.  She was retired from Hughes Aircraft. After moving to New Mexico, she worked at FRENCH Funerals and Cremations, Costco, and the Santa Ana Star Event Center.

She was a member of many organizations, which included: The Order of the Eastern Star (for more than 50 years), Rebekah’s and Odd Fellows, and the Red Hat Society.  Helen was devoted to community service, she volunteered for the 1984 Olympics, and locally at the Ronald McDonald House and Pope Joy.

Helen died on Monday, May 20, 2019.  She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Senter; son, Brian Sternberg; daughter, Paula Blagrave; son-in-law, Michael Blagrave; and grandchildren, Michael Stenberg, Therrisa Sternberg, Edward Barger, Phillip Barger, Adam Barger, Jacob Raehl, Caitlyn Blagrave, Emily Blagrave, Victoria Blagrave and Elizabeth Blagrave.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., FRENCH – Rio Rancho.  Reception to follow at Santa Ana Star Event Center (park in the VIP parking), 3001 Civic Center Cir. NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144.
