On Saturday, November 12, 2022, Helen Marie Roybal our amazing, beautiful mother, Nana/grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed from this world into the care of our Heavenly Father, to be joined with her husband John B. Roybal of 63 years, her parents and all her loved ones that have gone before. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family, while under the compassionate and skilled nursing staff of Legacy Home Health and Hospice and the many caring staff at the Beehive of Four Hills. Our hearts are truly broken, but our angel on earth was very tired and her strength tested. It was time for her to let go, and finally accepted her wings.
Age 94, of Albuquerque, NM and formally longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM. Helen entered this world on Monday, October 22, 1928, in Las Vegas, NM to parents Alfredo Herrera and Adelita Rudolph.
Helen is survived by her four children; son, Gary Roybal (Mary); daughter, Kathy Fiedler (David); son, Rick Roybal (Yvonne) and daughter, Melissa Nuttall (Michael); daughter-in-law Susie Roybal; sister Stella Bartone; sister-in-law Rosie Herrera; 14 grandchildren children; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband John; son, John Glen Roybal; her mother and father; sister Anna Berry; brother Alfred Herrera, Jr.; sister Connie Edwards; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren.
Her love, faith and devotion were never wavering. Her family and her faith were everything to her; all her children and grandchildren were her masterpiece. She loved spending time in the kitchen making delicious meals for her family and friends and even strangers. She had so much love in her heart and hands that it poured into every recipe, and onto everyone that she loved and met. Helen lived a full and wonderful life. She loved dancing, mariachi music, going to the casinos, socializing with family, friends, and strangers, watching her telenovelas, shopping, collecting, and making pottery. She was a devoted, loving wife and the absolute perfect mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Helen always worried and prayed for everyone, but herself. She blessed us all with her love, strength and faith. Her heart was made of pure gold, and we truly believe that pure love ran through her veins. She will certainly be missed, will forever be in our hearts and all her best traits will always continue to live through all her family.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brian Aragon, Anthony and Kelsey Roybal, Chris DeLong, Les Vigil and godson Juan Quintana. Honorary Pallbearers; all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all her numerous nieces and nephews, as all were so special to her.
